For the first time in over a year, I picked up my paintbrushes and finished this little beauty. I'm feeling rather pleased with myself for how they turned out! For those unaware, the regent honeyeater is a critically endangered species found across the great dividing range. With over 85% of their preferred habitat, ironbox woodland, destroyed since colonisation, it is estimated that as few as 800 individuals persist in the wild.

Tomorrow is Earth Day 🌍and I want to celebrate by sharing another illustration I did of one of Australia's rarest species. Despite their sweet looks and insectivorous diet, Numbats are actually the closest living relative of the Thylacine 🐅 Only two natural populations persist in the wild with an estimated 1000 individuals remaining, which is fewer than the number of Orangutans in Sumatra!

Long hours on public transport are forcing me to channel my hyper-vigilant brain into some creative outlets… it's been so long since I've been able to sit down and properly focus on a task. I'm pretty happy with this outcome! x

Here's a sneaky peek of a project that I've been working on, and my third official logo design! During Jane Goodall's Global Leadership Gathering at Windsor, I had the opportunity to work with an amazing team of young people from all around the world (Germany, Slovakia, South Korea, New Zealand and UK to be precise!). Together our team is developing a global campaign and resource kit that will be launched in at least five different languages! Our goal is to provide an easy framework for children, parents, teachers and the community to improve habitats in urban spaces around them, helping insects, birds and pollinators to thrive 🐝🦋🐜🐞🕊 Comment below and let me know what you think? Probably about time I posted this finished Mountain Pygmy Possum illustration which i started almost a year ago (oops!) There are many reasons I love this tiny creature, but what I find most fascinating is their ability to slow their heart rate to only a few beats a minute to conserve energy through snowy winters. Evolution is amazing!y
